Finger Lakes New Yorkers for Clean Energy

THE TEAM

The Horseshoe Solar project is being developed by Invenergy's six-person New York development team located in central New York, with support from engineers, construction managers and other professionals at Invenergy's headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. Kate Millar, an experienced wind and solar developer, is the dedicated Project Developer for Horseshoe Solar and is supported by Katy Warner, the team's Administrative Assistant, Renewable Development. To reach out, find Kate's and Katy's contact information on the Contact tab.

THE PROJECT

Horseshoe Solar is an opportunity to boost the local economy of Livingston and Monroe Counties and create jobs, all while generating clean, American-made energy to meet New York's growing electricity demand.

Invenergy is developing the project on private land it is leasing in the towns of Caledonia and Rush, and hopes to involve solar grazing as part of the project development and operation. The synthesis of solar energy production and herd grazing is just one of the many ways we at Invenergy are hoping to innovate in our field. Once operational, Horseshoe solar will help to further-secure our nation's energy independence while benefiting its host community of Caledonia economically and our planet environmentally.
